I love it when people succeed, but as numerous as there are success stories; I'm repeatedly reminded of the fact that there are still many people who have yet to discover their own wonderful potential. My gratitude goes to so many people that I would require a concentrate of hundred pages to name them all. With the independent guidance and guidance and my own life touch I was able to get to this point. So how do you take that leap? Well, that's what I'm about to share with you. But before I do, we need to have a slight talk. You see, as you may have already noticed, its not just about corporeal fitness - it's about life. Therefore, to help you make the dramatic changes in your body and life which you do have the possible to make, I'm going to have to ask you some very personal questions throughout this section. And you're going to have to look inside - deep inside- for the honest answers. This in itself is a challenge, but it is vitally prominent non-the-less.

You see, the dramatic transformations, like myself, started with honest reflection, not merely buying some home-exercise gadget, nor stocking up on the latest "miracle pill" Superficial approaches like that never work!! Real change all the time starts on the inside. And that is where you're going to find the answer to the first question:

Have you made the decision to change?

Most people I ask tell me they've made this decision. But how many people have truly decided to change? Very few. Why? Because there's a big variation in the middle of deciding something and having reasons to certainly do it. When you make a decision to make a change and you know your reasons, you will harness the force - the desire to make something happen. So now ask:

What are your reasons for production the decision to change?

You see its one thing to say you've decided to lose 10 kilograms of fat and get in shape. It's a totally different thing to have your doctor tell you you'll be dead in a year if you don't shed the 10 kilograms, make sense?

I will never forget the day I was out shopping for an outfit to wear to a wedding, I took a size 34 (I had not shopped for myself in years and was icy in time) and went over to the fitting rooms, undressed, and oh man the lighting in those cubicles don't do you any justice, I mean I looked huge, but blamed it all on the mirror and the awful lighting. The moment of truth came only moments later... I tried on the outfit and it could hardly get it over my lower thighs! I called the floor attendant to get me a size larger... A 38, alas I called her yet again and again, eventually the size 42 just fit. I stood there in shock. It felt like the whole world was going to come down on me...reality hit home and I felt sick to the bone.

So yes, I was not all the time fat, nor have I all the time been skinny, so the "gene" thing bares no weight on this subject. After giving birth to my daughter I could conveniently fit into a size 8, and I have the pictures to prove it. That very same day after the shopping disaster, I decided...that's it! No more! I started studying the body, cellular turn-over, what nutrients are certainly essential, how much water to drink, the variation in the middle of good and bad fats, etc. More on me later...that's if you certainly want to know.

On a blank page I would like you, to write down five reasons for you "wanting" to make the change, yes, right here, right now! What is the driving force behind that want? These reasons will remain your guiding light, your beacon, during the journey you have decided to begin. I personally found it very useful to snip out a picture of a "body" that resembled what my aspiration was and still is, it is a certain affirmation and it makes the journey and end result real and vivid, visualize!! Before you know it, its all you think about, its what drives you, its what makes you tick, and oh boy... When the day comes and the mirror does not frighten you any more.... Wait you will understand the feeling when you get there.

Once the truth is revealed, the path becomes clear.

Now you've reached the point where you're ready to move forward. At this point, it's about "eating right and exercise."

It's certainly quite simple, don't you think? What's that? You don't get it? Oh, c'mon, what could be more elementary than "eat right, drink your water and exercise"? If it were that simple, why is it that if you ask 100 different "experts", you'll get 100 different answers? On top of that, you've got those Tv infomercials that claim this or that practice gadget or miracle cream, potion, lotion or pill is the answer all those workout videos, dozens of fitness magazines, and hundreds of books. So we've got a lot of answers, right?

Well, no. What we have certainly is a junk heap of false conclusions, endless contradictions, and half-baked practice and nourishment theories that are creating so much uncertainty and confusion, most people don't know which way, and eventually land up exactly where they started, overweight, depressed. Before you can begin the transformation, we need to clear your head - try to forget all the nonsense you have heard, been told, read and lets start over (been there, done that).

So, let me ask you, what did you have for breakfast? certainly think about that one...is it a cup of coffee, or a bagel, a cereal? Or are you one of those millions who totally skip morning meal completely? figure this; your body uses all the nutrients you gave it the same day. Now, are you enthralling a morning meal high in carbohydrates? What happens to carbohydrates if it is not taken in the strict or balanced form? Excess sugar which is gift in all those so-called-healthy morning meal cereals, that traditionally balanced morning meal that we all became accustomed to which consists of loads of fats, sugars, (which will contain that bacon, eggs, toast and jam)! Your body wakes up "empty" and requires a variety of different nutrients to feed those 100 trillion cells of which each cell requires 114 nutrients! What do you give your cells? We eat and drink for our cells people, our stomach or digestive theory is only a tool! Age connected diseases and ailments are directly connected to what you put in your mouth. To top it all your lungs uses almost a liter of water while you sleep, do you even drink a liter? Now, if you do not have this moisture effortlessly available for your body, what does it do? It takes what it can get from your organs. Skin being the largest organ will show signs of ageing within a concentrate of weeks if you do not give it the enough amount of water it requires to stay young and firm. We will continue this seminar in more information later on.

Myth 1:

Myth: Aerobics is good for shaping up than weigh training.
Fact: To transform your physique, you must train with weights.

Why? Walking colse to the block or naturally climbing a flight of stairs Is good than doing nothing, but the best form of exercise, for reshaping your body, is weight training.

Through resistance training, you can also significantly increase your metabolic rate - the rate at which your body burns fat. As you may already know, when you gain muscle, your body requires more energy to pronounce that new muscle. Fat weight doesn't require energy at all to pronounce - it just sits there. That's why weight training is even excellent to aerobic practice for people who want to lose fat: It addresses the core of the question - the rate at which the body uses energy.

If you do nothing but aerobic exercise, even if you eat less, your results will not be optimal. Yes, you may lose weight, but your whole shape will stay the same. If you start an aerobic practice schedule shaped like a pear, the most likely result is you will wind up finding like a smaller pear - which is fine, if that's what you want, but that's not what I call transformation. With weight training, you not only burn fat but you can also change the shape of your body - you can build wider shoulders, so your waist looks narrower. You can build muscular arms; lean, defined abdominal muscles; strong legs; and you become empowered, confident, and strong.

So even though aerobic practice does help burn fat, (and we do apply this process to improve and tone your body so that the oxygen level is increased to gain optimal results in the weight training section) when it comes to transforming your body, permissible weight training, the right "eating-plan" and the enough nutrients cant be beaten.

Myth 2:

Myth: If you exercise, it doesn't matter what you eat.
Fact: If you exercise, it matters even more what you eat.

More people are exercising now than ever before, and that's got to be good news, right? We must be production those high-fat, high-calorie diets with the certain effects of practice because those effects are just, well, so positive.

Think again. Despite the fact that more and more people are giving practice a try, we're still finding rapid increasing the amount of people who are obese and who suffer from condition problems caused by being very "unfit".

In fact, there are in excess of 58 million clinically obese men and women in America alone (stats for South Africa, was not available, wonder why?) today, and more than 0 billion was spent to treat diseases such as cancer, diabetics, strokes, heart disease, and other ailments that are caused, more often than not, by a lack of "fitness".

Whether you swim, weight-train, jog, without the permissible nutrients, your body will not reach its optimal level. If you are whatever like me, you'll want to practice to create a certain result, not because you've got nothing else to do. In fact, you may be doing more harm than good because when you practice a nutrient-deficient body, you're not production it healthier: You're certainly creating a worse nutrient deficiency. Believe me, guys; I've tried this thing ever way possible. I know many people, who had all but given up on ever discovering how to successfully transform their physiques. Many had the technical facts on nourishment and exercise, but could not cross the "want" section, others had a reason, they set goals and were ready to address the "want", but had the incorrect facts - they had been misinformed - so sad. In every case something was missing, and the someone was left believing that "Exercise only works for people with the right genetics," or "There's something wrong with yours system," or "I must have a thyroid hormone question or something" (I do know that thyroid problems do occur, so don't get me wrong, its just very unlikely that every someone has that problem).

I mean, lets face it. If we give something a solid try effort, if we certainly put our hearts and souls into it, not just once but time and time again, and it still doesn't work, eventually we're going to get frustrated and give up. Working hard and going nowhere is unrewarding and dispiriting. It's downright frustrating.

The lowest line is this: If you don't have the nutrients in your theory to recover, much less improve, following intense exercise, it's like you're flickering a lighter with no butane - you might get a spark but no flame.

By not becoming a victim of the myth that practice alone is all you need to get fit - by accepting the fact that optimal nourishment is just as prominent as practice - you will be one step closer to achieving the level of success you rightfully deserve.

My Side of the Story

The aerobics industry humiliated me, the diet industry starved me, and the healing industry tranquilized me! I decided enough already - there has to be a good way! This was quoted by someone, somewhere and it so reminded me of myself and how lousy I was feeling.

By continuously striving to find the 'right-way' I found that it was more than a corporeal journey, it was an emotional journey. I didn't all the time cope the process well. There was a lot of pain, anger and frustration along the way. I recall when I walked into the gym the first time, over-weight and my self-esteem on a low-low. Against the wall hangs a poster of the body I "wanted," when I told this to the owner, and his reply was a slight less than favorable, I realized that this was something I "wanted" to prove! And you know what? I did just that, I made them swallow every word, and it feels awesome!

You can get fit. You can get well. You can change your body by increasing your cardio-endurance, increasing muscular strength, decreasing body fat, increasing flexibility, and building a fitness level that will amaze you. This has nothing to do with willpower, behavior modification, control, or motivation. There is no magic or mystery involved, and it's got nothing to do with dieting, without food you can't function. How prominent is it to breathe? Without oxygen we die! Forget your health, don't do it for that presume alone, that was never my motivation. I didn't lose 24.3kg to have a healthy heart (although I got that anyways - what a bonus!), I did it because I wanted to look better, feel better, sexier and fit into a size 6 denim! Don't do this for your condition (I promise, it will improve at any rate), do this to love the way you look, do it for your thighs. Do it to spite of all the people who think you can't. Just Do It!

Stand up naked and bond with your body. Get out of the denial for a moment - it's only you and me. Butt naked, in the mirror. You are finding at your body and deciding where you want it to be. Simple. Do you need to burn some fat? Forget that extra inch that we have all been told we shouldn't be able to grab; I'm talking about losing Fat here. How much do you want to lose to look and feel the way you want to feel? Do you want to see hipbones again? How about collarbone? Where are your ribs - has it been years since you've seen a rib? Muscles? Where are they? Is it difficult to hold your body up? Do you have every ache and pain in the book, like I did? Are you tired and achy? If so, we've got to get you some drive and increase your cardio-endurance. Get you some energy, drive and oxygen; this is what you need.

The mirror image you're finding at, either with sunglasses on or not, may be too much to bare (pardon the pun), but you are no longer going to be ruled by whatever else's standards, but your own! Start Living!

I have willpower (and so do you!). But somehow I all the time found myself at the fridge door, shoving food in my mouth. At the time I thought I was the only one who couldn't keep the weight off. Something was wrong with me. I began telling myself the old metabolic question story. What I didn't know then I was soon to find out, the statistics, the naked truth:

So forget the diets. They weren't working, and I'd tried every one. We are going to eat for a good life, and I promise, there will be no starving!!! Wow!

Let's talk about "Eating"

Think about this, we don't have to lose muscle, gain fat, feel tired, give up, and give in. If we choose, we can look and feel good, from this moment on. We have the occasion to re-create ourselves, if we rule to do it, and if we know how. (Don't worry; I'm going to teach you just how to do this.)

Now, what do you think your body uses to re-create itself? Where does it get the raw materials to invent new skin cells, brain cells, muscle cells, bone cells, new blood, and even a new heart? If you guessed "food," you're right. You see, in a very literal way, that old saying "You are what you eat" is true, but what you drink is even more important. And, even though most everyone has heard that saying time and time again, I've discovered that very few people certainly understand it.

Very few people are clear about the fundamentals of nutrition. It's just not something we regularly learn at school or at work. In fact, many "experts" are more confused than the people they're supposed to be helping. Sometimes they don't know enough, and believe it or not, sometimes they know too much. By that, I mean they have read so many articles and textbooks, been to so many seminars, been exposed to so much facts that they are truly overwhelmed - they suffer dullness from analysis. They over think the topic of nourishment and quite often are so caught up with small stuff that they fail to clearly see the bigger picture. Most people have no clue what they're doing to themselves with the food they regularly consume. Nor are most people aware of how much good they could look and feel if they stopped feeding themselves accidentally and started re-creating themselves intentionally.

The good news is, it doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, once you get the hang of it, it's downright simple. Once you discover the right method of feeding your body, you'll never have to relearn it. It's kinda like studying how to drive a car - it's a bit intimidating at first, but with a slight practice, you'll be "up to speed."

Remember, ability nourishment is just as prominent as the practice techniques you read about. practice is the spark. nourishment is the fuel. (Nutrition consists of the actual food, water and minerals) Without both, there can be no flame - no results!

So as soon as you start exercising intensely, you must begin eating the right way; you must start consistently feeding your body what it needs to re-create itself, so you can enjoy rapid and rewarding results.
